Overview
Fetch is an online truck rental platform for contactless truck and cargo van rental. We provide trucks and cargo vans for our renters to instantly rent from their closest location, we also help our partners list their fleet on our platform with tools, support and best practices to ensure the success of their rental fleet.
My role in this team is to work closely with developers and product managers to make the whole rental/listing process smoother and easier for our renters/partners.
Background
Considerations
Starting as the very first designer of the team, there are tons of things that need to improve.
For the renter's side, the current renting flow has no standardized design system, and the colorful buttons and unaligned information caused so much ambiguity to our users, moreover, it required extra effort from our customer support team.

Regarding partner onboarding, the current process demands manual follow-up from a customer support agent at every step. Implementing an onboarding wizard featuring an input area for essential vehicle information could vastly streamline the process for both partners and agents.

Iterated vehicle searching flow
This is the design-led iteration. I used the user-oriented thinking theory, standing with the customers, and redesigned the search flow. From the new design, renters can easily find the vehicle image, size, parking location, rental package price, insurance info, and discount info on each card of the list, and the list is ranked by distance from the renters' location. Additionally, there is a stable floating tab at the bottom center of the search page for those who prefer to search by map view. Renters can click on the dots to see the brief vehicle information at the bottom of the page.
