Overview
Fetch Truck Rental is a web platform designed to streamline the complex process of booking, managing, and coordinating truck rentals for logistics operations. The tool supports multiple user types, high-frequency task flows, and decision-driven workflows — typical of enterprise supply chain systems in distribution and fulfillment.
My role in this team is to work closely with developers and product managers to make the whole rental/listing process smoother and easier for our renters/partners.

Background

Context & Challenge
In logistics operations, operators and planners regularly juggle multiple task flows — comparing routes, scheduling vehicles, and monitoring availability — across disparate systems. This leads to:
-
Frequent task switching across screens
-
Manual comparisons of complex data sets
-
Inefficient decision workflows
-
High cognitive load for operational users
My goal was to lead end-to-end UX ownership to reimagine core workflows that simplify decision-making and reduce task friction for high-frequency users.

Iterated vehicle searching flow
This is the design-led iteration. I used the user-oriented thinking theory, standing with the customers, and redesigned the search flow. From the new design, renters can easily find the vehicle image, size, parking location, rental package price, insurance info, and discount info on each card of the list, and the list is ranked by distance from the renters' location. Additionally, there is a stable floating tab at the bottom center of the search page for those who prefer to search by map view. Renters can click on the dots to see the brief vehicle information at the bottom of the page.
